The Historic Walking Tour Of Downtown Vista

Deriving its name from the Spanish word for "view," Vista was incorporated in 1963. The development of Vista's downtown center began in the late 1920's, with most of the buildings on Main Street built between late 1920's and the late 1940's. With Vista's agricultural roots firmly established, downtown grew and expanded onto Broadway while serving Vista's growing population. Even as a city with modern day trappings, Vista's downtown businesses continue to service its residents and visitors in a small town atmosphere.
